🇵🇾✔️🇧🇷 — The Paraguayan government is organizing a special service drive to assist foreigners interested in obtaining residency in the country. The service will be offered in Ciudad del Este, on the border with Foz do Iguaçu (PR), amid growing demand from Brazilians seeking information on how to move to the neighboring country following the reelection of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on October 25. ➡️ The initiative, called MigraMóvil, will be conducted by the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) through November 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The team will receive applications for temporary and permanent residency, including under the Mercosur agreement, as well as requests for certificates, document renewals, and extensions. This is the first edition of the service drive since the second round of Brazil’s election. ➡️ More than 263,000 Brazilians live in Paraguay, making it the third-largest Brazilian community abroad, behind only the United States and Portugal, according to the Brazilian government. Demand had already been rising before the election. In 2025, the DNM received 47,687 applications, a 63% increase over the previous year, and granted 40,600 permits, according to Paraguayan government data. Of that total, 23,526 were issued to Brazilians. Source 🖇

🇧🇷🇧🇷📝❗️📰📰 — Senator and former presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) published a new statement addressed to Brazilians, saying that he had been approached by TV Globo for an interview. However, no agreement was reached because the broadcaster refused to air the content in its entirety. He warned that Brazil’s leading television network is afraid of persecution and the lack of democracy in the country “STATEMENT TO BRAZIL I was approached by several media outlets this week, including Rede Globo, which invited me for an exclusive interview. I accepted on one simple condition: that it be broadcast in its entirety, without cuts and with no forbidden topics. The broadcaster chose not to move forward. By all indications, this Sunday’s Fantástico will air a lengthy report about me without giving me the right to respond. If Brazil’s largest media group is AFRAID, it has absolutely no moral standing to judge me or try to destroy my reputation. I didn’t leave Brazil; I left for Brazil! I dreamed of making our country a better place, and on Sunday, just seven minutes after the election results were announced, there was already a court ruling imposing precautionary measures against me based on lies. Twelve hours later, in the middle of the street, I was notified that the persecution had begun as I was leaving President Bolsonaro’s home. All of this happened before the tearful eyes of a father with pre-existing health conditions, who has been sentenced to more than 27 years in prison without having committed any crime, and who is already suffering from being separated from another son he has not seen in over a year and a half due to the illegal and arbitrary persecution he is also facing. This is not democracy, and it is far from being a fair and impartial judicial process. At least I am in a country where I can freely express my opinion. I will not be targeted by a judge who woke up wanting to do harm and sent his police officers to my home to rummage through my daughters’ underwear in their drawers. I ran for president while facing an entire system that wants things to remain as they are in Brazil: great for them, but much worse for you. I regret absolutely nothing I have done, and I leave you with a thought: ‘There is no effective remedy in Brazil to put an end to human rights violations.’ (Cristiano Zanin, August 7, 2016). In the coming days, I will speak with major national and international media outlets. No cuts, no filters. Those who want to listen will hear what no one else can say while in Brazil.” Flavio Bolsonaro (@FlavioBolsonaro) on 𝕏 🖇

🇺🇸🇧🇷🇧🇷 — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio responds to journalists’ questions about possible assistance in Flávio Bolsonaro’s departure from Brazil, echoing the same statement made by Javier Milei’s government in Argentina by denying any possibility of having helped: “We didn’t facilitate anything. I mean, we were informed that he had arrived in the United States. He had previously been granted a visa, and the president made a decision to allow him to enter the country, which we did. But we were not involved in any of the arrangements he made regarding his departure. At least the U.S. government was not directly involved in any of the moves that were made. The president made it clear that if he arrived in the United States at a port of entry, he would be paroled into the country, and that is what happened.”

🇧🇷🇧🇷 —#Archive Flávio Bolsonaro held a livestream addressing recent developments, his departure from Brazil, alleged election fraud, the country’s future, and other topics: • He recounts visiting his father, Jair Bolsonaro (under house arrest), on Monday after the election (at around 10 a.m.). They discussed the results and the future; his father was in good spirits. At the end of the authorized 30-minute visit, he was informed that Federal Police officers were waiting at the door. As he left, he was served with a ruling by Alexandre de Moraes (issued minutes after the Superior Electoral Court's announcement) ordering the seizure of their passports and prohibiting them from leaving the country. He says his father, with tears in his eyes, asked the officers to step aside and then asked: “Do you already know where they’re trying to take this?”. Flávio replied that he did, that God was in control, and that he would fight back. • He states: “I didn’t leave Brazil; I left for Brazil.” He said his departure was a strategic move to maintain an active voice, since in Brazil he would be “silenced, imprisoned, and censored,” like his father. He denied that it was an “escape” or a sign of weakness, calling it a “situational assessment” and “one step back to take two steps forward.” The decision was made in secret (only his wife knew) to prevent it from being thwarted. No one from the campaign team was informed or involved. • He repeats: “I lost to the system, not to my opponent.” He claims there were things that were “mathematically impossible” in the real world, and that his opponent “completely disregarded electoral law.” • He describes Brazil as being under an exceptional regime: institutions have been taken over, lawmakers are afraid to speak out (some have been stripped of their mandates for speaking), the judiciary is acting in a partisan political capacity at the highest court, and his father is being used as a “hostage” in negotiations. He cites the protection of people who should be investigated (e.g., Moraes’s wife). • Regarding Moraes’s decision, he alleges a false accusation that he was involved with a friend’s bank accounts (Santander reportedly sent an official notice on election Sunday stating that he had no connection to them). He compares this to cases such as that of Filipe Martins (allegedly unjustly imprisoned and described as a political prisoner). • The new battleground is the National Congress, especially the Federal Senate. He endorses Rogério Marinho for Senate president and urges supporters to press newly elected senators to vote for him. The goal is to build resistance to prevent or delay the “great chaos” that the current government would bring about. • He predicts that the economy will be the main source of political damage (with conditions worse than those during Dilma’s 2014–2015 administration). Brazil would be “destined to go bankrupt” whether or not the government fulfills its promises, which could lead to the president being removed from office sooner. • On a possible return to the electoral race, he says: “If necessary, I will run in another election for Brazil. And I’m not talking about 2030; I’m talking about before then.” He considers the nearly 60 million votes cast for him by “real people” an honor.
