Privacy policy

Last updated: Oct 3, 2026

This page explains what information the site receives when you use it, what it is used for and what choices you have.

What we receive

You can use the site without an account and without giving us your name, email address or other contact details. Most of what we receive is technical information your browser sends when it loads a page. If you write to us, we receive your message and the contact details you send it from.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers and the networks that deliver our pages record each request automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the requested page, the page you came from, and the date and time. We use these records to deliver pages, protect the site from abuse and fix errors.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site and the services it uses may store cookies and similar data in your browser. Some keep your settings, such as the color theme. Analytics services use them to count visits and see how pages are used, including clicks and scrolling; advertising services use them to show and measure ads, possibly based on your visits to other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and turn off personalized ads in the settings of those services.

Third-party services

Some features, such as visit analytics and advertising, are provided by other companies. Their code runs in your browser and sends them the technical information their service needs, which they handle under their own privacy policies, sometimes in other countries. Links on the site lead to other websites and apps with their own rules.

How we use information

We use this information to run and protect the site, see which pages are useful, fix errors and show the ads that pay for it. We rely on our legitimate interest in running the site and, where the law requires it, on your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as these purposes require. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted, unless they are needed to look into abuse. Third-party services keep information under their own rules, and we keep your messages as long as we need them to reply.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it, withdraw your consent at any time and complain to a data protection authority. To use these rights, or if a page of the site contains information about you, write to us.

Children

The site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us such data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. The current version is always on this page, and the date under its title shows when it last changed.
