🇧🇷🏴💥🤡 — The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) has opened proceedings against the ticket formed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Vice President Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) over suspicions of abuse of political power. The decision was made by Electoral Inspector General Justice Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva, following a complaint filed by the Novo Party. ❗️ If the case moves forward and the party's requested outcomes are granted, the reelected ticket could be annulled and both candidates declared ineligible for eight years, potentially leading to new presidential elections. 📝 The investigation concerns 35 measures adopted by the federal government during an election year. According to the party, the measures created or expanded benefits for the population and could have given the presidential ticket an electoral advantage. Among the initiatives being challenged are the increase in Bolsa Família benefits and higher fuel subsidies. ‼️ Novo argues that the measures amounted to the use of government resources to gain an advantage in the election. 🇧🇷 The lawsuit also includes Alckmin, who could be held accountable for his participation in events where some of the initiatives were announced. In the inspector general's assessment, there are grounds to investigate the actions of both members of the ticket. ⏳ In his ruling, Cueva ordered that the defendants be notified and given five days to present their defense. The justice determined that the complaint meets the necessary requirements for the investigation to proceed. Source 🖇

During the conversation, he presented his version of the trip to the United States and made accusations against the Lula government (PT) and the Supreme Federal Court (STF). 1️⃣. FLÁVIO DENIES RECEIVING HELP TO LEAVE BRAZIL The senator said he arranged his departure from the country without assistance from foreign governments or authorities, contrary to what allies and people close to the Brazilian politician had reported on social media. According to Flávio, the decision was made spontaneously, together with his wife, although he had friends abroad. 2️⃣. SENATOR SAYS HE WILL KEEP DETAILS OF HIS ARRIVAL IN THE U.S. SECRET When asked about the details of his journey to Miami, Flávio chose not to reveal how he managed to reach U.S. territory. 3️⃣. FLÁVIO CRITICIZES MORAES AND ALLEGES POLITICAL MOTIVATION AT THE SUPREME COURT During the interview, the lawmaker criticized Brazil's judiciary and mentioned Justice Alexandre de Moraes. SENATOR CHALLENGES ELECTION RESULTS AND SAYS HE LOST TO THE SYSTEM Flávio once again questioned Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's (PT) victory. He described the election results as mathematically impossible. He also acknowledged that his complaints were unlikely to produce any results. 5️⃣. FLÁVIO QUESTIONS LULA'S SPENDING AND USE OF GOVERNMENT RESOURCES The senator also complained about federal government spending during the election campaign. In his view, the government administration's resources gave the PT candidate an advantage in the race. Flávio also raised suspicions about the electoral process but presented no evidence to support his accusations. 📰 Flávio's remarks to the American newspaper came three days after TV Globo rejected an interview with the senator. The broadcaster decided not to interview him because it disagreed with a condition he had imposed: that the content be broadcast in its entirety. Source 🖇

🇨🇴🌹⁉️🍆 — Deicy Jiménez, the woman who accused former Colombian President Gustavo Petro of awarding public contracts in exchange for sexual favors, published a video that she claims proves the two had an intimate relationship. 📱 "Today I am publishing this video as proof that I am telling the truth. Colombians deserve to know who Gustavo Petro really is. I trust the justice system, and I ask the authorities and the government not to allow anything to happen to my family or me. If anything happens to us, I hold Petro responsible!" Jiménez wrote on her Instagram account. ➡️ The video, whose recording date is unknown, shows Jiménez and Petro in a room. At first, the former president is wearing a shirt, and later he puts on a jacket. "I have to exercise," Petro tells her at one point. He then grabs Jiménez by the hair and gives her a kiss that appears to be on the lips. ➡️ Jiménez had previously stated in an interview with Semana that she met Petro in 2019, when he was still a senator, through an "adult website." Public records show that she held contracts starting in 2023 with the Senate, the Superintendency of Private Security and Surveillance, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre). ➡️ She also spoke of an alleged network of between 30 and 40 women who supposedly received public contracts in exchange for sexual favors allegedly provided to the former president.

admin comment: — To the uninformed and so-called political experts out there, there is no “left” in Paraguay. There is only a split within the country’s dominant political faction: Honor Colorado, led by Horacio Cartes; and Colorado Añetete, led by Mario Abdo Benítez. Both have united against Santiago Peña. Now, Vice President and successor Pedro Alliana will continue along the lines of Honor Colorado, while Añetete will remain focused on safeguarding the new office and forging important alliances with other dissident factions. Only Brazil stands to gain from this dispute, as the departure of a technocratic president could influence business operations involving the Itaipu Dam.

🇸🇻💥🇭🇹🏴☠️ — Nayib Bukele on 𝕏: Haitian people, Dessalines liberated Haiti, but some of those who stood by his side betrayed and killed him. People who looked like him and spoke the same language as him, but did not share his principles. They were traitors seeking only personal gain, and they plunged Haiti into generations of suffering and misery. These traitors still exist in Haiti. They are not heirs to Dessalines; they are the heirs of those who betrayed and murdered him and destroyed his legacy. Some are gang members, others finance gangs or supply them with weapons, and some are doing everything they can to prevent the Haitian people from achieving their freedom. Yes, many foreigners have plundered Haiti, but many Haitians have done the same. They have collaborated with these foreigners, used their weapons, sold their drugs, controlled territory on their behalf, and subjected the people to unimaginable suffering. Do you think these foreigners would be able to do all these things without their help? Who is pointing guns at us? Who is killing our loved ones? Who is stealing our homes and possessions, if not the same kind of treacherous criminals who betrayed and murdered Dessalines? We can help you fight them, but we are not invaders. We are people with courage, just like you. You must rise up, take back control of your communities, and bring under your control those who are inflicting all this pain and suffering on you. We will remain right there by your side. We will help you reclaim your country from the traitors who have betrayed Dessalines' legacy. And finally, Haiti will be free. Nayib Bukele (@nayibbukele) 🖇
