Tonight should be a wake-up call. The next two years cannot be more speeches, more promises, and more excuses for why nothing gets done. People are tired of voting for change and then being told to wait until the next election. If we put you in office, we expect you to do the job. Tell us what you’ve accomplished, where you’ve fallen short, and what you’re doing about it. Having an R next to your name does not get you a pass. We have to follow through ourselves. Pay attention to what happens at your school board, your city council, and in Congress. Our children will live with the decisions being made right now. The next two years need to be about accountability. We cannot afford to be having this same conversation in 2028. LOCAL ACTION = NATIONAL IMPACT

When you step aside, someone else decides what happens to your country. Being fed up with Washington is understandable. Handing over your children’s future because you’re tired of it all accomplishes nothing. Self-government requires citizens willing to show up, ask hard questions, and hold leaders accountable. You cannot complain about what’s happening to America and then sit home when it’s time to VOTE. The Democratic Socialists of America have made it clear that their agenda includes a new constitution, public ownership of major industries, abolishing ICE, and moving toward getting rid of the police and prison system. They’re open about where they want to take the country. Are we just supposed to ignore that? I have no interest in handing more power to a government that already struggles to account for its money and authority.
