⚖️ Profile — Sam Bankman-Fried
# The Meteoric Rise and Fall of Crypto's Golden Boy
One man went from unknown MIT grad to billionaire savior of crypto to federal prisoner in just five years — and his story will either inspire you or terrify you.
Meet Sam Bankman-Fried, or as everyone called him, SBF. In 2019, this lanky 21-year-old founded FTX, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange. By 2022, it was valued at $32 billion. He was worth $26 billion on paper. He was TIME Magazine's cover story. He was funding Democratic politicians, backing climate initiatives, and positioning himself as crypto's responsible adult.
Here's where it gets wild.
In November 2022, a CoinDesk investigation revealed FTX was secretly propping up its sister company, Alameda Research, with billions in customer deposits. Within days, the exchange collapsed. Customers couldn't withdraw their funds. The company filed for bankruptcy. Eight billion dollars in customer assets vanished.
By December 2022, SBF was arrested in the Bahamas. Prosecutors painted him as a fraudster who knowingly stole customer money to gamble on risky bets and finance his political ambitions.
In November 2023, he was convicted on seven counts of wire fraud and conspiracy. In November 2024, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The lesson? Charisma, innovation, and good PR can mask deception. The biggest scams don't always look like scams until they do. And in crypto — where you're supposed to verify everything — many people just believed the hype.

📉 Su Zhu & Kyle Davies — and the bet that changed crypto
# The Rise and Fall of Crypto's Power Couple
They turned a $500K seed round into a multi-billion dollar empire, then watched it implode in 72 hours.
Su Zhu and Kyle Davies co-founded Three Arrows Capital (3AC) in 2012, and for nearly a decade, they were the kings of crypto. Not miners, not protocol builders—traders. Pure, unapologetic leverage kings.
By 2021, 3AC was managing $10 billion in assets. They were everywhere: funding Solana, backing Celsius, making whale-sized bets that moved entire market cycles. Su and Kyle didn't just participate in crypto—they shaped it. Their conviction moves alone could swing $100M+ in liquidations. Influencers begged for their validation. Developers pitched them constantly.
Then came June 2022.
In 72 hours, Three Arrows Capital went from untouchable to completely liquidated. The details: over-leveraged positions, overlapping collateral across platforms, and a market collapse they couldn't survive. On June 16, they admitted insolvency. By June 22, founders Su and Kyle had vanished—literally. They ghosted the entire industry.
The fallout was catastrophic. Celsius froze customer withdrawals. BlockFi imploded weeks later. Genesis Capital crumbled. A contagion effect that proved crypto's interconnected fragility.
The kicker? They'd spent years publicly mocking risk management. Kyle Davies literally tweeted "have fun staying poor" to critics. Su Zhu dismissed concerns about leverage. Their arrogance became their epitaph.
As of 2024, they're still missing. Some reports suggest they're in the UAE avoiding legal action. Meanwhile, 3AC's bankruptcy saga continues, with victims still pursuing every possible recovery.
The lesson here isn't about hating these guys—it's darker than that. It's that even billion-dollar track records don't protect you from hubris. Leverage kills, diversification is real, and "have fun staying poor" looks pretty naive when you're the one who got rekt.

🪵 The oracle that comes back to check on you.
Most readings end when the screen does. This one doesn't.
Ask @Ifapredictionbot anything — money, love, work, the road ahead — and the chain answers with one ẹbọ: a single thing to do, and a day it must be done by. Then it tells you when the matter turns.
On that day, it comes back and asks whether it did. Your yes or no goes on your own record — the same way the oracle keeps its public one.
Do the ẹbọ and the Ancestors' Chest opens wider. Ask on Ọjọ́ Awo, the oracle's own day, and the chain speaks loudest.

🔶 Crypto Legend: Joseph Lubin
# The Man Who Bet Everything on Ethereum's Future
He walked away from a six-figure JPMorgan salary in 2014 to build a blockchain platform that most people thought was insane. Today, that bet has created over $1 trillion in economic value.
Joseph Lubin is the co-founder of Ethereum, and his story is one of timing, conviction, and a willingness to look absolutely crazy before looking brilliant.
Before crypto, Lubin was a traditional finance guy. Computer science degree, solid career, comfortable life. But in 2011, he discovered Bitcoin and became obsessed. Not obsessed like a hobby—obsessed like someone who sees the future before everyone else does. He spent years studying, coding, and believing that blockchain could reshape the world.
In 2013, he met Vitalik Buterin, a teenage genius with an idea: what if blockchain wasn't just for currency? What if you could build entire applications on top of it? That conversation changed everything.
In 2014, Lubin made his move. He quit his job. He joined Vitalik's tiny team. And in July 2015, Ethereum launched. The platform had no reputation, no track record, no guarantee of success. Ethereum was worth pennies.
Fast forward to today: Ethereum processes billions in transactions daily. Its ecosystem includes DeFi protocols, NFTs, layer-2 solutions, and thousands of projects building the infrastructure of Web3. The network's total value has exceeded $1 trillion at its peak.
But here's the drama: Lubin didn't stop there. In 2017, he founded ConsenSys, a venture studio and infrastructure company that became one of crypto's biggest power players. ConsenSys has raised hundreds of millions in funding and employs thousands globally. It's basically Lubin's attempt to build the entire Ethereum ecosystem around him.
And yeah, there's been controversy. Critics argue ConsenSys is too centralized, that Lubin has too much influence over Ethereum's direction, that he's prioritizing profit over decentralization. In 2022, ConsenSys laid off 55% of its staff due to market conditions, which felt brutal and chaotic. Some saw it as proof that even the visionaries can get it wrong.
But here's what matters: Lubin didn't just theorize about blockchain. He built it. He recruited talent. He stayed committed through the 2018 crypto winter when everyone thought he was finished. He kept building.
Today, Lubin is worth hundreds of millions. But more importantly, he's the man who believed in Ethereum when it was nothing.
The lesson? The biggest wins come from seeing what others can't, taking massive personal risk, and having the conviction to keep building even when everyone thinks you're insane. Lubin bet his career on Ethereum. Ethereum bet on changing the world.
He won.

🥷 Profile — Satoshi Nakamoto
THE PERSON WHO VANISHED WITH THE KEYS TO 21 MILLION BITCOINS WORTH BILLIONS—AND NOBODY KNOWS WHO THEY REALLY ARE.
On January 3, 2009, someone—or a team hiding behind one name—released Bitcoin into the world. That person called themselves Satoshi Nakamoto. Then they disappeared. Forever.
Here's what we know: Satoshi created Bitcoin when the world was in financial chaos. Banks were collapsing. Governments were printing money like there was no tomorrow. And this mysterious programmer published a 9-page whitepaper titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" that would change everything.
The origin story is pure drama. Satoshi mined the first 50 bitcoins (the "Genesis Block") on January 3, 2009. They coded the entire thing themselves—no venture capital, no team, no hype. Just pure technical genius. For two years, Satoshi actively communicated on forums, responding to bugs, refining the code. Then in 2010, they handed over control to other developers and... ghosted. Completely.
The numbers? Satoshi mined approximately 1 million bitcoins before vanishing. At today's prices, that's worth over 40 billion dollars. But here's the twist—nobody has ever moved those coins. Not once in 15 years. It's like watching a billionaire's treasure chest sitting untouched.
The mystery exploded into drama when people started theorizing. Was Satoshi a single genius? A government project? A group of cryptographers? Journalists, investigators, and crypto sleuths have spent YEARS trying to unmask them. Craig Wright claimed to be Satoshi (most of the community rejected this). Others pointed to Nick Szabo, Hal Finney, or even mysterious figures nobody's ever heard of.
The real wildcard? Satoshi's last known message was in December 2010: "I wish you would have kept this private much longer before releasing it. There is something to be said for keeping some things private and quiet, or only sharing with people who have a need to know."
Then silence.
Where are they now? Unknown. Some think Satoshi died. Others believe they're watching Bitcoin's progress in complete secrecy. The most haunting theory? They're alive, watching their creation reshape the financial world, and have chosen anonymity as the ultimate power move.
The lesson? Satoshi proved that ideas matter more than fame. They didn't need a Fortune 500 title, a Twitter following, or a TED talk. They released something revolutionary and let the work speak for itself. In a world obsessed with personal brands and clout, Satoshi chose to be forgotten—and became immortal.
That's the definition of building something bigger than yourself.
