The reason for their removal is unknown, and it is also unclear whether these features will return in the future. However, we still have Widgets in messages, the new Sidebar feature in topics, and design improvements in Telegram for Android to look forward to in the next update. 💎 In Telegram Beta for Android 13.2.0 (7278), Gram Wallet integration with interactive HTML widgets has been introduced, allowing users to interact with their wallets directly inside chats. Bots can now create interactive cards that allow users to connect their wallets. With the user's confirmation, a widget can receive the wallet address, balance, and, in supported scenarios, public key. The retrieved data can be displayed in the message, while the address can be copied using a separate button. Widgets can also request a cryptographic signature for text or other supported data. For example, a user can sign a consent message authorizing a bot to store their wallet address together with their Telegram ID. The signature itself does not involve transferring funds. Another feature allows widgets to request Gram transfers. The widget sends the amount and recipient's address to the wallet, after which the user reviews and confirms the transaction. Once submitted, the widget can receive the transaction message hash, display it, or allow the user to copy it. In addition to wallet integration, HTML widgets support exchanging requests and responses with bots, as well as synchronizing shared data between open widgets. 🔎 Cybersecurity researcher Saifeldeen Aziz has announced a talk at OffensiveCon about the findings of his year-long research into the security of Telegram's animated stickers. Using AI-assisted fuzz testing, he discovered several vulnerabilities in «rlottie», the library responsible for rendering animated stickers. These affected Telegram for iOS, Android, and Desktop. The researcher also discovered logic flaws in Telegram's sticker delivery and server-side validation mechanisms. By chaining these vulnerabilities together, he was able to bypass Telegram's security protections and achieve zero-click code execution on iOS, without any user interaction. However, Telegram had already started replacing «rlottie» with a new Rust-based library called «tlottie» back in late July 2026. It was first introduced on Android, followed by Unigram, then Telegram Desktop and macOS, and finally iOS in September. The switch to Rust-based «tlottie» should reduce the risk of memory-safety vulnerabilities, but it does not rule out other security issues, including flaws in sticker delivery and server-side validation. It is currently unknown whether the vulnerabilities discovered by the researcher still affect the latest versions of Telegram. The full technical details of the research have not yet been published, and the announced attack specifically targets the old «rlottie» library, which Telegram has already replaced in its clients. @telelakel

✨ The «Agent» bot for connecting third-party AI services using your own API keys has already appeared on production server. After connecting an AI provider, you'll be able to select a specific model, switch between connected providers, and configure the model's reasoning level — fast, medium, expert, or ultra. You'll also be able to customize the AI's personality, enable or disable web search, view statistics on token usage and API request costs, and reset the conversation context. The bot's description states that you'll be able to interact with AI in both private chats and groups. Note that you'll need an active subscription to the corresponding AI service to use the bot. 😨 Most users are probably already aware of the new gift scam involving business bots. You receive what looks like a gift offer in your private messages, but it appears as a regular message rather than an service message. Don't take any action or tap buttons sent to you by other users. A real gift offer is a service message and looks different. In the latest stable update Telegram for iOS v13.1.1, this issue with fake offers has been largely addressed. Now, if someone sends you the first message through a business bot, the buttons won't appear immediately. You'll need to send any message to that user before the buttons become visible. A new «Feed» tab has been added to the navigation panel. When opening a channel, you can now add it to your news feed instead of joining it. This means the channel will appear in your news feed, but you won't actually be subscribed to it. To join the channel, you'll need to tap «Remove from News» or «Add to Chat». Be careful when opening links. A link with a pre-filled message is currently being shared in chats. When you open it, a random user's chat appears, and the prepared text is automatically inserted into the message field. If you try to send it, your account gets frozen. The message contains pre-filled text that scammers use to send fake offers to users. The link reportedly no longer works, but stay cautious. @telelakel

✨ How connecting «Agents» will work. Telegram will have a dedicated bot (or multiple bots) for Agents, featuring an «Add Your AI API Key» button. Tapping this button will open a special menu where you can enter your AI API key. You will also be able to manage your API keys through the same Telegram bot. @telelakel

✨ In Telegram Beta for macOS 13.1.0 (283365), a new «Agent» feature has been discovered, which will allow users to connect third-party AI services using their own API keys. Five providers are currently supported: × OpenAI (ChatGPT) × Anthropic (Claude) × Google (Gemini) × xAI (Grok) × OpenRouter The list of providers is loaded from the server, so new services can be added without updating the app. To set it up, users will need to select an AI provider and enter their own API key. Each service has a direct link to the page where users can obtain a key. Once connected, the message «You can now use @agent» will appear, indicating that the selected AI service is ready to use via @agent. Users will be able to connect multiple providers at the same time and switch between them by selecting the active provider for @agent. For each connection, Telegram stores the date it was added and the last four characters of the API key. These settings are also synchronized across devices. The code also includes support for individual AI models, their names, and search functionality. One of the providers mentions «Hundreds of models», which likely refers to OpenRouter. However, the ability to manually select a specific model has not yet been confirmed. The API key is sent through Telegram's servers during the connection process, and the system checks whether the key is valid and the provider is available. The feature is being developed separately from AI Editor. It is still unknown exactly how users will interact with @agent, through a private chat, inline mode, or another mechanism. Wallet cards with a balance below 0.01 Gram are now hidden on Android. This means that if your balance is 0 Gram, but your wallet address has already been generated, the wallet card will no longer appear in your profile. @telelakel

🤖 Telegram now allows users to create bots with additional username suffixes. You can now create a bot through another bot, provided it has «Bot Management Mode» enabled in @BotFather. The new bot can have an additional username that doesn't end in the usual bot suffix. Telegram's server configuration currently allows five suffixes: agent, ai, app, game, and gay. The additional username does not replace the bot's primary username. Both remain available, while Telegram can use the new suffix to display a different status label in the bot's profile. There are some limitations: × Telegram Premium is required to use these additional usernames. × Each bot can have only one additional username. × A single account can have no more than two bots with these additional usernames, even if they use different suffixes. Interestingly, in the latest Telegram Beta for Android, your wallet may appear on your profile even if another user simply opens the «Money» tab to send you Gram. This triggers the creation of your wallet, although its status remains «Inactive». This means that if someone has opened the «Money» tab to send you Gram at least once, your wallet may already be visible on your profile, even if you haven't activated it yet. You can then find your wallet address yourself without having to wait for someone else to send it to you. @telelakel
