🎙️ Remarks by Russia’s Ambassador to Australia Mikhail Petrakov on the reaction to his presence at the National Press Club (29 October 2026) 💬 My attendance at the recent event at the National Press Club, open to the public, where the Greens Senator Shoebridge spoke, caused quite a stir. Moreover, it seems that the mere presence of the Russian Ambassador was enough to trigger panic in the ranks of those who support the Kiev regime. ❌ The Ukrainian Ambassador allowed himself a rude remark about my being there. Is he trying to assume the role of the supreme judge, ruling on what is appropriate and what is not for other members of the diplomatic corps? Well, well, well. ☝️ Do not judge, and thou shalt not be judged. I am not going to comment on how easily the performance of regular diplomatic chores by a foreign Ambassador can be used for political purposes here, playing the game titled “Who is more anti-Russian among us?”. 🤔 The most interesting, however, was the press coverage. After the event was over, I had a brief chat with a correspondent from The Australian, and I expressed to him quite clearly our views on the neo-Nazi nature of the Ukrainian regime. ❗️I pointed out that the regime had turned into national heroes Ukrainian Nazi collaborators, who during World War II were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Jews, Ukrainians, Russians, Poles and Belarusians. And today, following suit, the Kiev regime has been destroying everything Russian since 2014, including the language, culture, religion and the very Russian identity in Ukraine, and, of course, physically exterminating Russians. ⁉️ All I said to him, however, remained a voice in the wilderness, was ignored and left unpublished. I don't know whether this is the local media's idea of “balanced coverage” of events, or whether the journalist was simply scared to tell the truth. 🗣️ In the end, I was left with the impression of an echo chamber, where the only voices heard are those expressing blind hatred towards my country and support for the neo-Nazi Kiev regime. 🤐 The rest is silence.

Their names may be unfamiliar to Australians but are well known in Russia, Belarus, Poland, where their atrocities and mass murders are well remembered. Their remains are to be placed in a so-called “Ukrainian national pantheon” in the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a site sacred to all Orthodox Christians (throwing out all monks living there).   🤔 Curiously enough, when someone says they admire Hitler, they are called Nazis; but when the entire Ukrainian state glorifies Nazi collaborators as national heroes, it is called in the West a “manifestation of democracy”.

The media and various experts portray the neo-Nazi Kiev regime as a “dove of peace”, seeking de-escalation and a diplomatic settlement – and hence, in the Western logic, in need of more weapons and military assistance. <…>   ☝️ For when we call it neo-Nazi, it is not a figure of speech. It was this particular type of extremists who came to power in Kiev following the violent coup d’état in 2014. The regime started spreading Nazi ideology, destroying everything Russian, killing thousands of Russians in Donbass, in the war which lasted eight years, until the special military operation began.   Today, the Kiev regime is conducting a campaign to repatriate from abroad and rebury the remains of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators such as Bandera, Shukhevych and other notorious Nazi henchmen. <…> Their remains are to be placed in a so-called “Ukrainian national pantheon” in the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a site sacred to all Orthodox Christians (throwing out all monks living there).   ❓Curiously enough, when someone says they admire Hitler, they are called Nazis; but when the entire Ukrainian state glorifies Nazi collaborators as national heroes, it is called in the West a “manifestation of democracy”. <…>   On 25 June, the regime announced that it would “bring Russia to its knees” and began attacking our civilian facilities – oil refineries, marketplace warehouses and others. <…> This serves no conceivable military purpose but fits perfectly into the logic of barbaric brutality and the campaign of terror unleashed and pursued by Zelensky.   On 20 September – the day Russia was holding parliamentary elections – the regime launched massive drone and missile attacks against Moscow and other cities, targeting polling stations and electoral commissions, killing some of their members. This is the way the Kiev Nazis fight for democracy.   <…> When we talk about Kiev’s lies, the case of faking events in the town of Bucha comes to mind. This is the place from which a BBC film crew streamed a story in April 2022, showing dozens of dead bodies lying on the sidewalks. The thing is, it was done three days after Russian troops withdrew from the town, and its mayor confirmed this in the video message (without mentioning the bodies). <…> That story was used to manipulate international public opinion and fuel yet another wave of anti-Russian hysteria in the West.   📑 We investigated it thoroughly. The results are reflected in the report “Heirs of Goebbels: Falsification of the Events in Bucha and Bloody Staged Performances of the Kiev Regime” published by the International Public Tribunal on the Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis. The title of the report speaks for itself. The truth is that during the time that the town was under the control of the Russian armed forces, not a single local resident suffered from any violent action. But who in the West cares about truth?   ⁉️ Will the Australian media and experts have enough decency to be objective and present the full picture, including the facts about the true nature of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi regime Russia is fighting and the atrocities it has committed against Russia and its citizens? Десятки тонн гуманитарной помощи для жителей Алешек в пути Гуманитарный груз для жителей Алешек собран силами аппарата Уполномоченного по правам человека при поддержке банка ПСБ. Часть помощи передал Российский Красный Крест. При подготовке ориентировались на конкретные просьбы жителей. В первую очередь людям нужны продукты: мука, крупы, сахар, мясные и рыбные консервы, растительное масло. Также необходимы средства гигиены и топливо для генераторов. Отдельная заявка поступила от центральной районной больницы — на лекарства, в том числе антибиотики и инсулин. Всего в Алешки мы везем несколько десятков тонн гуманитарной помощи. Спасибо всем, кто откликнулся и помог собрать необходимое. Важно, чтобы жители получили поддержку, которой так ждут, а врачи могли продолжать помогать людям.

В фокусе последовательных усилий нашей страны – продвижение торгово-экономических интересов в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе (АТР), который на сегодня является одним из наиболее динамично развивающихся.   На АТР приходится 40% населения, 50% торговли и 60% ВВП мира. Согласно данным Конференции ООН по торговле и развитию (ЮНКТАД), в прошлом году развивающиеся государства АТР привлекли свыше 640 млрд долл. прямых иностранных инвестиций. Это около 40% от общемирового объема и более 70% вложений в развивающиеся страны.   Объем торговли России со странами АТР уже составляет более 500 млрд долл. и продолжает увеличиваться. Товарооборот c Китаем по итогам первых трех кварталов этого года вырос на 30,6% (по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2025 г.), и составил 214,3 млрд долларов. Прирост со странами АСЕАН в 2026 г. – около 10%: основные точки роста – Филиппины (60% по сравнению с первым полугодием 2025 г.), Таиланд (32%), Вьетнам (15%).
