John Reese Looks like my reporting is correct: Yes, according to multiple reports from the New York Times, CBS News, and others published on or around November 3, 2026. The DOJ sent letters to roughly 20 Democrats notifying them that they might be targets (or issued a mix of target letters, preservation letters, and related notices). Marc Elias (whose firm has represented Peltola and other Democrats) is among those identified as a target. At least one DSCC official was also named as an intended recipient, and the DSCC itself received a grand jury subpoena. CBS News: The investigation is led by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Alaska, with involvement from the Civil Rights Division’s criminal section. It follows earlier grand jury subpoenas and a public press conference by Alaska’s U.S. Attorney disclosing the probe. Fox News Timing has drawn attention: the letters went out in recent days, on or near Election Day in a close race. Democrats have called this highly unusual and accused the administration of weaponizing the DOJ; they describe “ballot stacking” (recruiting same-name or spoiler candidates) as a longstanding, if controversial, campaign tactic that is not clearly illegal under state law. Trump has publicly pressed for accountability and criticized Elias by name. Rawstory Elias has responded that he and his firm are targets of a “sham investigation” with “zero evidence of wrongdoing,” framing it as political retribution, and said they will not be intimidated. CBS News A related civil lawsuit by the DOJ seeking to limit certification under certain circumstances had stalled or been dismissed around the same time. Target letters indicate the prosecutor views the recipient as a putative defendant with substantial evidence linking them to a potential crime (per DOJ guidelines); they are not indictments or charges. The exact statutes under consideration have not been fully detailed publicly, though theories such as conspiracy to interfere with voting rights have been discussed. https://x.com/Rickisback_ON_X/status/2117724207568335079?a=5jm67wyFOHPqggH4d7A&s=20

GeoInsider The situation this morning in Europe: A cyberattack is disrupting supermarket refrigeration systems across several European countries, including Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, Estonia and Ireland. • What is happening: A vulnerability in specific refrigeration control software is allowing attackers to remotely manipulate freezer systems, causing temperatures to rise as high as +50°C. • Supermarkets are facing massive food losses, with fresh, chilled and frozen products being discarded due to food safety risks. Some stores have experienced temporary closures and delayed openings. The issue involves connected refrigeration systems whose software and security vulnerabilities are being exploited, allowing attackers to interfere with temperature controls remotely. Retailers are responding, working with cybersecurity specialists and taking affected products off sale to protect consumers. https://x.com/InsiderGeo/status/2117218991148003449?a=04HWbKutqW3BogYIXCQ&s=20

Coffe Report Norway Raises National Cyber Risk To High Norway is facing a deteriorating cybersecurity environment, with authorities reporting a sharp increase in successful cyber operations. On October 27, Norway's National Security Authority (NSM) publicly announced a HIGH national cyber risk level, the second-highest on its five-level scale. Key findings: • Successful cyber operations against Norwegian organisations have tripled over the past six months. • Defence, space and critical infrastructure sectors face particularly high risks. • Authorities warn that cyberattacks could disrupt electricity, water, mobile networks and internet services. • NSM and the Directorate for Civil Protection have urged the public to prepare for potential disruptions. Just three days later, on October 30, the Arctic University of Norway (UiT) disclosed a targeted cyberattack. Attackers successfully accessed several servers, forcing the university to take affected systems offline. University officials described the attacker as a well-resourced threat actor and confirmed that this was not a conventional DDoS attack. As of October 31, no theft of personal information had been identified. The attacker's identity and motives remain unknown, and no direct connection to the broader increase in cyber operations has been established. The developments highlight growing cybersecurity challenges facing Norway, including institutions operating in the strategically important Arctic region. https://x.com/CoffeReport/status/2117175887120466003?a=_MshvpMs7MwLIe5hiiw&s=20

The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has issued a security alert warning of a potential mass casualty event at the Tsaritysyno Museum Reserve in Moscow. Per the alert, the embassy has received a credible warning that a mass casualty event may take place today and has warned U.S. citizens to avoid large crowds, avoid the location/general, area and to maintain situational awareness. Something rightly mentioned by @Faytuks News is that a similar warning was issued prior to the Crokus City Hall attack a few years ago. Per the release the U.S. is currently cooperating with relevant Russian agencies and authorities on the matter.

Henry Bolton OBE What’s happening in Poland? In a nutshell there are two political blocks: Law and Justice (PiS), led by Jarosław Kaczyński (nationalist, socially conservative, and skeptical of certain EU policies) who were in power from 2015 to 2023, and Donald Tusk’s Civic Coalition (and its partners), pro-Eu and have been in government since late 2023. PiS reformed the Constitutional Tribunal (court) which argues Polish law has precedence over some EU law. Tusk thinks all Polish law should be subordinate to EU law. Despite the Polish Constitution stating the Tribunal’s position is final, Tusk has been ignoring it. A Tusk appointed Judge on the Tribunal has - seemingly with Tusk’s support - suspended the President of the Tribunal and another PiS appointed judge, causing the present crisis. What is in fact behind this is that Donald Tusk is trying to make the upcoming 2027 elections all about the EU. He is ideologically committed to ensuring the EU dominates Poland while the PiS does not want to leave the EU, but want to retain some Polish autonomy. Tusk is trying to create a minor crisis and present it as the right’s fault and position himself as the guardian of Polish membership of the EU. It’s up to the Poles, but should they really trust a man who creates a crisis to help him make sure Poland becomes fully submissive to Brussels? I think not. https://x.com/_HenryBolton/status/2116306989857001650?a=3f3GqbIv_tS8BTBw3d4&s=20
