⭐️Water Glassing Eggs⭐️ Have you ever heard of this?!😍 What you’ll need * Fresh, unwashed eggs (ideally laid the same day) * Food-grade pickling lime (calcium hydroxide), not garden lime * Clean, non-chlorinated water (filtered or distilled is best) * A clean 1-gallon glass jar with a lid How to do it 1. Mix 1 ounce (about 2 tablespoons) of pickling lime per 1 quart (4 cups) of water. 2. Stir until well mixed. 3. Place the clean, unwashed eggs into the jar with the pointed end down. 4. Pour the lime water over the eggs until they’re covered by at least 2 inches of liquid. 5. Seal the jar with a lid. 6. Store in a cool, dark place (around 50–70°F is ideal). A great way to keep your eggs for when your girls aren’t laying much or for the winter when they don’t lay much!
