This post is for beginners to make it clear how both formats work: 📦 Offchain aka "outside the blockchain" A gift that "lives" inside the Telegram database. It stays tied to your Telegram account. Pros: easy transfer within Telegram (the first one after upgrading is free, following ones are 25 Stars each), and you can also trade them on Getgems. @gemsrelayer: to sell an offchain gift or withdraw a purchased one to Telegram (via the "Withdraw" button), the official @gemsrelayer bot is used — it acts as a secure bridge. Cons: not a full NFT yet. Can’t be sent to a regular crypto wallet. If you lose access to your Telegram account, you lose your Gifts too. 📦 Onchain — already on the blockchain A gift that has been minted and turned into a real NFT on TON with a record in the blockchain.
