Шедевр Карло Скарпа на площади Сан-Марко В 1957 году Адриано Оливетти попросил Карло Скарпу превратить узкое помещение под аркадами в шоурум пишущих машинок. Получился шедевр: парящая каменная лестница, мозаика из муранского стекла, скульптура в чаше с водой. Сегодня это крошечный музей фонда FAI, заходить обязательно!

Museo Fortuny, наверное мое самое любимое место в Венеции. Мариано Фортуни был испанцем и родился в семье художников с очень большим состоянием. Отец был звездой живописи своего времени, дед — придворным художником испанской королевы и директором Прадо. После ранней смерти отца мать увезла детей сначала в Париж, а в 1889 году в Венецию, где Мариано и остался на всю жизнь. Он был сразу всем: художником, фотографом, театральным сценографом, изобретателем. Но в историю вошёл прежде всего благодаря моде. В 1907 году вместе с женой Анриеттой он создал Delphos — платье из тончайшего плиссированного шёлка по мотивам древнегреческих туник. Его носили без корсета, и для того времени это был почти скандал. Способ плиссировки Фортуни запатентовал и держал в секрете. Его платья носили героини Пруста, а Иссей Мияке спустя почти век признавался, что вдохновлялся именно этим плиссе. Всё это рождалось в готическом палаццо XV века на кампо Сан-Бенето, который Фортуни выкупал по частям и превратил в дом, ателье и мастерскую сразу. Наверху работали портнихи и печатники, в залах встречались клиенты и друзья, а стены были затянуты его собственными тканями. После его смерти его жена сохранила всё как было и завещала палаццо городу. Для меня этот палаццо, как и любимая Villa Kérylos на Лазурном берегу, идеальный пример разного, но очень консистентного и обволакивающего вкуса своих хозяев. Красота.

Жанетт Лаверье Вращающаяся библиотека, 1950 г.(переиздается по лицензии с 2011 г.) древесина вишни и березы/металл 130*75*75 см Некоторые работы Лаверье можно увидеть в книжном магазине при парижском филиале Marian Goodman Gallery, а в нью-йоркском пространстве галереи в 2019 г. проходила выставка ее функциональных и умеренно футуристических произведений.
