Work can be part of education - and often its most valuable part Today, young people choose a specialization at a very early age before they have had a chance to gain any real work experience. It’s a questionable bet that you make with the least amount of information you’ll ever have. But there’s a bigger problem than picking the wrong major: it’s the very structure of modern education. It simply doesn't keep up with the speed at which the market changes. While the university develops, approves, and launches a new program, the market will have already managed to create new tools, professions, and requirements for specialists. AI is the most obvious example. Many of the professions and tools forming around AI today simply didn't exist in their current form just a few years ago. iGaming, by the way, is a good example of the reverse sequence. For people to choose this field at 18 is practically impossible, there's most likely simply nowhere to systematically learn it. As a rule, a person first comes to work in the industry, encounters real tasks, tries different directions - and only then starts to understand what actually interests them and what knowledge they're missing. In my view, that kind of education is far more meaningful than spending five years on a major you picked at 18, only to graduate and find your profession has become automated away a couple of years back. That's exactly why my advice to young people is to start working as early as possible. Every year spent exclusively on preparing for life is a year without real experience, mistakes, and feedback. Work is also a skill. And, like most skills, it grows not linearly but exponentially.

If I had to choose just one factor that determines whether a person will achieve a breakthrough in absolutely any endeavor - it would be ambition. Not intelligence, and certainly not innate talent. All of that is secondary and can be developed. But you can't force a person to move forward if they don't internally want more and consciously go where the odds of success are below 30%. And do it without complaining about circumstances and difficulties, accepting uncertainty as part of the path. There are no people with a low bar who've achieved a breakthrough. I don't know a single one. All those who create products, drive progress, and lead strong teams - they're people who always want more. And here's what we end up with. For some, the ceiling of their dreams is stability and the absence of problems. For others, the reward is the scale of the challenges and navigating chaos. That's exactly why people with the same starting point end up in completely different places ten years later. And it's clearly not because one of them had more talent. Ambition, guys. That's what it always comes down to.

Alright guys, keeping the tradition going. I already posted my take on it, but I'll say it here too. How can you even beat a guy who does nothing but train day in and day out? H-o-w 🙂 We all know whose training style this is and where it leads, and I think this is just another win for Islam. But if you have even one strong argument for why Garry could win - I'll be waiting for you in the comments on my prediction post (I'm truly curious what that could even be)

While you take your position for granted and bask in your success, they spend their time studying you and honing their skills. The best defense of leadership is to see your position not as a finish line, but as a starting point for the next move. To be better than yesterday. To demand more from yourself than ever before. Because someone who keeps growing and evolving is unpredictable by nature. You can't prepare for them - they don't even know what they'll be like tomorrow. Only the paranoid survive. The ones who never let their guard down, even when standing on the highest pedestal. That's why the only healthy response to leadership is to never consider your position finally conquered and to keep a healthy fear of losing it.

Our ambassador Gable Steveson is actively preparing for the tournament, and on July 11 he will have his first fight in the UFC - a very telling moment in his career. For me, Gable is arguably one of the most interesting fighters to have joined the UFC in recent years. An Olympic champion, one of the most talented wrestlers of his generation, and, as many have long said, a future UFC star. When we first saw him in training with Jon Jones, it immediately became clear how much he stands out from the rest in the octagon - as a new-generation heavyweight fighter: big, powerful, and at the same time, importantly, fast and very mobile. This kind of profile always creates the feeling that his ceiling has not yet been reached. I suppose the organization itself understands this no less well than we do - there are very few athletes like this on the market. What we're seeing is rare in this sport: the 'future star' status usually comes after years, but Gable earned it even before his debut fight. So let's make sure to support him - July 11 marks the start of a potentially big story in the UFC.
