Security in everyday situations: travel ✈️ Travel puts your digital habits to the test: unfamiliar networks, shared chargers, devices that can be lost or stolen. A few minutes of preparation can save you a lot of trouble. – Turn on 2FA, preferably with an authenticator app. SMS codes may be harder to receive when travelling abroad. – Update your devices and apps before travelling. – Be careful with public Wi-Fi. Fake hotspots can imitate legitimate networks in airports and hotels. Prefer mobile data or an eSIM when possible. – Use a VPN on public Wi-Fi. It encrypts your connection, making it harder for others on the same network to monitor your online activity. – Bring your own charger and avoid unfamiliar public USB ports. – Back up your files so a lost or stolen device doesn't mean losing your data, too. Thanks to our Cyber October partner hide.me for the tips on travel and online security! Their VPN service encrypts your connection, masks your IP, and follows an independently audited no-logs policy. One Premium account covers up to 10 devices simultaneously. DeNet protects your data. hide.me protects your connection 🔐 And since it's Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we're putting that partnership to practical use: back up your data with DeNet for a chance to find a hide.me Premium subscription in your weekly Mystery Box 🎁

Your files are encrypted. But who holds the key? Most cloud providers keep your encryption keys, so they can technically access your work files, financial records, and photos. With DeNet Storage, your data is encrypted on your device before upload, and the key never leaves your hands. Nobody else - not DeNet, not Datakeepers, not a third party - ever has the ability to read what you store. Here's how it works: 🔸 Files are encrypted locally, before they leave your device 🔸 Encrypted file parts are distributed across independent Datakeepers, so there's no single data center to breach 🔸 Available on mobile and desktop Your data is too valuable to hand over the keys. 🔗 Protect your data
