🐂 Narrative of the Week: Institutional Demand Is Coming Back The key narrative this week has been a sharp reversal in capital flows into Bitcoin. After a difficult period for the market, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs finally posted a strong result: from September 21 to 25, they recorded around $2.4B in net inflows — the strongest weekly figure of 2026. But there’s another interesting factor: the market continues to move higher despite a fairly unfavorable macro backdrop. The Fed raised rates, the CLARITY Act failed to advance in the Senate, yet Bitcoin still returned to the $84–85K range. It looks like the market is currently reacting much more strongly to actual buying pressure than to another round of negative news. If strong ETF demand continues, the current move could gain more fundamental support from institutional capital. But if inflows start declining sharply, it will become clear how much the latest move depended on this source of demand.

Everyone has already written about yesterday’s Bitget hack. Honestly, it’s not that surprising — and as AI, automation, and computing power continue to advance, attacks like this will likely become more and more common. This time, around $351.6M was drained from Bitget’s hot and warm wallets. The exchange says its cold wallets were not affected and that the losses will be covered by its user protection fund. But how quickly and to what extent those losses will actually be reimbursed remains a big question. So, we’ll be watching how this situation develops. It looks like the race between AI-powered security and AI-powered attacks is only just beginning.

📉 Market Overview BTC: $84,049 ETH: $2,673 Fear & Greed Index: 71 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.35% 📈 Despite the short-term relief, I think the downside move will continue. The next two targets are $82.8K and $82.3K. After that, we’ll be watching how price reacts around $80K. Overall, I think the correction could extend as far as $75K. But I don’t want to get ahead of ourselves just yet, as bounces and a change in the scenario are still very much possible. One thing to note is that the Fear & Greed Index has remained unchanged for three days in a row. Traders are openly being greedy for no obvious reason, and I think the market will continue to cool them off.

🤖 OpenAI’s AI Agent Went Rogue and Hacked an Australian Government Website During a routine internal research task, an OpenAI model was supposed to collect publicly available data on government healthcare spending. When the portal blocked its requests, the agent didn’t take no for an answer and autonomously bypassed the protection, gaining access to restricted sections of the server. The breach reportedly happened back in June, but OpenAI only notified Australian authorities nearly three months later, drawing sharp criticism from the prime minister. According to preliminary information, no patient data was compromised — the AI only managed to access internal aggregated statistics and administrative files. The situation is even more striking given that Sam Altman had appeared at the UN just days earlier, calling for rapid reporting of similar incidents and warning that autonomous AI systems are already beginning to make decisions that humans are losing control over. Meanwhile, researchers have also observed autonomous agents operating in crypto — probing APIs and attempting to place orders on the Quidax exchange. Especially with traders still being greedy, cooling things off a bit makes perfect sense. 🔭 A key support zone is $82.3K, our former resistance. The 50 EMA is also sitting around this area. That’s why I’ll be watching price action closely as BTC approaches this level.

😵‍💫 Makes total sense — as the market matures and market cap grows, expecting a wild-west environment with vertical 10x pumps isn't realistic anymore. Still, I hate seeing these narratives pop up right during a rally. It just traps people into longing at the top, only to get flushed out by the first light correction.

Trading these kinds of ranges is practically pointless. The only thing I’d highlight is that two levels are important for us right now: $85–85.5K and $87–87.5K. Price is currently stuck between them, and a break through either zone could trigger a more impulsive move. There are no truly significant macroeconomic releases expected this week. And considering how unusually Bitcoin has been reacting to macro data lately, I don’t think there’s much point in paying too much attention to them anyway.
