What was missing is an input - something that writes real life into the vault. The card is that input: every payment becomes a verifiable spend event you own, stripped of merchant and item detail. Your own wallet still works exactly as it did, and either way you still see every transfer and approve it yourself. We rebuilt the security around the site before announcing it rather than after.
