L'invisible 🫥 Julien Berthier bought a worn-out boat on a classifieds site and built a rock on top of it. 4.3 metres high, with a hatch you climb through to steer it cruises the calanques near Marseille, drifting past the real rock formations it was copied from people notice only when it overtakes them the author says: it intrudes on the landscape modestly and changes it imperceptibly the thing sits between stage set, enhanced reality, leisure object, survivalist anguish and ecological stakes but anchored it rocks with the waves and catches every eye on the coast the invisible turned out to be very visible by Julien Berthier 🫥
